Property Description

This home offers the best of both worlds; traditional early 1900s charm, with all the luxuries of the 21st Century. The original home was built in 1909 but professionally restored in 2005 and sits on a .5 acre corner lot including the city roadside easements. All of the interior plumbing, wiring and walls were re-consructed to modern building codes and standards including cat5 networking, coax cable, and even a 5.1 surround sound system in the upstairs family room. A new addition to the original home includes an oversized 3 car garage, master suite, family room, and spacious mudroom with built in coat and shoe closets. The builder did a wonderful job of maintaining some of the original home features and details including the original hardwood floors, doors, doorknobs, windows, clawfoot tub, and even a hutch from the kitchen. The update to the home created additional square footage for a total of 2800 heated/AC living space with two energy efficient AC units (one up/one down)and a 3-car garage. Also a nice storage closet off the garage. An RV pad add's additional parking space on the rear of the home and has an adjustable basketball standard. The home comes with water shares allowing unlimited lawn and garden irrigation during the summer months. Our favorite features, however, are mostly found outside. Two large elm trees on the East lot line give shade to the house and yard until ~2pm providing a cool play place, a great tree swing, and energy savings in those hot summer months. For the gardner, there is a large, boxed garden on it's own irrigation zone and several hose spigots. If you want fruit, trees include apple, pear, and plum. Also, large raspberry and strawberry patches. A wide variety of flowers and bushes are planted all around the home including some great rose bushes. Covered front porch (trex decking) complete with porch swing for those cool summer evenings. Outbuildings include a newley completed 10x12 barn, and a fully functional chicken coop with 10 laying hens. There is much more so please explore the slideshows and links on the left of this page, and even if you aren't in the market to buy, we'd love to hear and read your comments.

Why are we selling?

We don't want to, but new job requires too much commuting to Salt Lake City and we want to live a little closer to family
